CVMS has been serving Southwest Portland Metro area for over 38 years and value the community around us. Currently, we are seeking a Lead Guide to join one of our Toddler classrooms. Our current guide is needing to leave to attend to an unexpected medical emergency within their family and thus will be moving out of the area. So our need is more immediate than most.   

Our program is nestled within the Mountain Park neighborhood in Lake Oswego. We have our own natural play space, gardens and utilize the adjacent Lake Oswego pathways for discovery walks.   

Our toddler classrooms serve children between the ages of 14 months and 3 years old; children then transition into one of our 2 our Primary classrooms on-site. We are looking for a confident, respectful role-model with a sense of humor, growth mindset, positive attitude, and flexibility to boot! While we know there are so many options in this wonderful field, we feel confident that CVMS would be a meaningful work environment for either a newly trained or experienced guide. We have an infant and toddler coordinator with 10 years of experience to support all team members on their Montessori journey.  

Qualified candidates should be trained (or be finishing training) from a MACTE accredited training institution and have a strong sense of the Montessori scope and sequence.   Ideal candidates will have experience leading a toddler community. comfortable with daily observation, lesson planning and recordkeeping as well as being outside each day.
