# Preschool Support Teacher / Floater (Full-Time)

**$20+/hour DOE | Full-Time | Medical, Dental, PTO & Paid Vacation**  

Portland Montessori Collaborative is seeking a warm, dependable, and collaborative Toddler and Casa Support Teacher (Rotating) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, values a respectful learning environment, and wants to grow in the field of early childhood education.  

Our school serves children from 3 months through 6 years of age in authentic Montessori classrooms. As a member of our support team, you'll work alongside experienced educators, assist throughout the school, and help create a calm, beautiful environment where children thrive. 

Schedule  * Monday–Friday * 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. * Additional hours may be available by substituting in classrooms.  

What You'll Do  

* Support toddler and preschool classrooms and provide coverage as needed 

* Serve children's meals and snacks 

* Help children during meals, toileting, and daily routines 

* Support outdoor play, gardening, and classroom projects 

* Maintain clean, organized learning environments 

* Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff members 

* Prepare the classrooms after hours, laundry, prep for the next day  

Qualifications  

* Genuine respect for children and their developing independence 

* Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team 

* Strong communication and organizational skills 

* Montessori experience is appreciated but not required—we are happy to train the right person.  

Requirements  Current enrollment in Oregon's Central Background Registry (CBR) is required before applying. 

* Ability to complete all Oregon Office of Child Care required trainings within the first 30 days of employment. 

* Ability to frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, lift, and carry children (infant through age six) and safely operate commercial kitchen sanitation equipment.
