Busy Hands Montessori is seeking a warm, reliable, and collaborative Classroom Aide to join our teaching team. We are an AMS-verified Montessori school in Cedar Mill, OR school serving children ages 3 months through 6 years in a thoughtfully prepared, child-centered environment.

Position Summary
The Classroom Aide supports the Lead Guide and Assistant in maintaining the daily flow of the classroom. This position focuses on supervision, classroom order, transitions, and ensuring that children’s basic needs are met with care and respect. The ideal candidate is patient, observant, flexible, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
Support classroom routines and daily transitions
Supervise children indoors and outdoors to ensure safety
Assist with snack, lunch, and rest time procedures
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the environment
Prepare materials as directed by the Lead Guide
Support children in following classroom expectations and grace & courtesy
Step into classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate ratios

Qualifications
Experience working with young children preferred
Ability to remain calm, attentive, and engaged throughout the day
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively move throughout the day
Enrollment in Oregon Central Background Registry (or willingness to obtain)
Montessori experience is welcomed but not required.
