About the Position
We are seeking a full-time AMI-trained Primary Guide for the 2025-2026 school year, with a start date in June or August 2025. Each West Hills Primary classroom serves 23-25 children aged three through six in a thoughtfully prepared environment.

Our schedule closely follows the local public school calendar, and we also offer an enriching Montessori-inspired summer program. West Hills Guides are encouraged, though not required, to participate in summer programming—an opportunity many educators find rewarding and rejuvenating.

Qualifications
AMI Primary Diploma (3-6)
Genuine joy in teaching and learning; calm, positive presence; strong work ethic
Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of two years' experience working with children in a Montessori setting preferred
Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and principles
Inclusion in Oregon Criminal Registry (background check) and completion of Safety Set (CPR/First Aid certification)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong presentation and public speaking abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
Openness to receiving professional feedback and coaching
