ABOUT THE POSITION:

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, passionate, and experienced full-time, Montessori-trained, A-to-I or Primary Guide to help develop the prepared environments of our growing program and provide on-site coaching of classroom staff.

Essential Responsibilities
- This is a full-time position for 40 hrs/wk, divided between two program locations within 5 minutes of each other
- Help create vision for and logistical arrangement of Montessori A-to-I environments in cooperation with program staff and leadership.
- Provide strengths-based coaching  and professional development to program staff
- Give hands-on demonstrations of developmentally-supportive classroom practices and systems
- Exhibit creative, flexible collaboration and problem-solving to additively impact program development
- Help prepare learning materials and systems that foster creativity, social-emotional growth, and cognitive development.

Minimum Qualifications
- A passion for working with young children and development of adults in the environment
- Ability to collaborate with Lead Guides and classroom staff to support developmentally appropriate growth and learning.
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to both teach and learn.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
- Montessori AMI or AMS diploma in Assistants to Infancy (preferred) or Primary/Children's House
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a lead guide
- Enrollment in the Central Background Registry
- Step 7 or higher in ORO (Oregon Registry Online)
- Valid Adult and Pediatric CPR & First Aid & Food Handler’s certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Required trainings for Infant/Toddler and Preschool classroom workers per Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and/or training in professional coaching
