Cascadia School is seeking two Lower Elementary Assistants (1st - 3rd grade) starting in August 2025. This is a full-time position. The classroom assistant’s role is to support the guide by assisting students when needed, maintaining the classroom environment, supervising recess and lunch, and performing general duties related to the classroom community.
Our ideal candidate has experience in a Montessori classroom and/or an AMI/AMS Primary diploma and is familiar with justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion work. Ideally, the applicant can collaborate with others, communicate effectively, have strong organizational skills, and build positive relationships with students, families, and co-workers.

Typical Hours: 7:45 AM - 3:45 PM
Required: CPR/First Aid certification

Hourly wage range: $21.50-$23.00, depending on experience.

Our Montessori school is located in Vancouver, Washington, on 2.0 acres and is adjacent to Tranquility green space. Cascadia serves children in 1st through 8th grades. Our students come from local children’s houses and private and public schools.
