Toddler Community Support Staff

Montessori Children’s House is seeking an Toddler Community Support Staff person to provide
assistance to Toddler Community staff and children.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position; hours are 9:30-2:30.
Hourly wage range (depending on experience): $15.50-$16.50
Eligible for the school’s Health Plan.
Our preference is to fill the position as soon as possible, to start work on June 14th.

As our school grows out of the pandemic, there will be opportunities for expansion of hours and responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate will have:

A commitment to active engagement within our Anti-Bias and Anti-Racist school community
Experience working with young children (Please note, those without experience working with young children will also be considered for the position)
Good organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A spirit of collaboration, flexibility, and a strong desire to participate fully within the school community

Requirements include active enrollment in Oregon’s Central Background Registry, along with verification of current Infant/Child CPR & First Aid training, Food Handlers certificate, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN), Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety (ICCHS), and Prevention is Better Than Treatment (PBTT) trainings.
