Camas Montessori school has 4 classrooms of 3–6-year-olds.  We have been in the Camas community for 34 years. We are looking for a Montessori teacher to join our close-knit community. We want a teacher that is confident, and a respectful role-model, that has a sense of humor. We have a wonderful supportive staff that love to have fun and enjoy their jobs. We also have the most adorable children and incredibly supportive and engaged parents.

Basic Job duties:
•Manage a classroom of 19 children
•Implement Montessori preschool & kindergarten curriculum for students
•Connect with and establish a relationship with parents
•Parent education nights 2 or 3 yearly
•Conferences 2 times a year
•Keep records of children  
•Student assessment

The ideal candidate will:
•Be a certified Montessori Teacher.

•Have excellent communication skills with children as well as adults
•Have Classroom management skills

Requirements:
•MACTE accredited training
•Current CPR/First Aid certified
•Cleared portable background check from MERIT or can obtain
•Food handlers’ card
•Recognizing and Report Child Abuse and Neglect certification or willing to have it by start date
•Negative TB test
•Proof of MMR immunization

Compensation: This is a full-time 10-month salaried position. Pay is based on your experience and knowledge in the Montessori Philosophy.
