Portland Assistants Workshop

"Being A Help to Life"
Thursday, September 2, Providence Child Center will host our OMA Portland Assistants Workshop.
During the morning session we’ll talk about the following:
1. What does an assistant do and why?
2. What is the relationship with the guide?
3. What is the assistant’s relationship with the children?
The afternoon session will include practical skills such as the following:
1. Books to read to primary or elementary students
2. Songs
3. Arts and Crafts projects
4. Gardening projects
Attendees may elect to bring their lunch or for an additional $10 a box lunch will be provided.
Workshop Costs:
$35 for OMA members
$45 for OMA members with lunch
$100 for nonmembers
$110 for nonmembers with lunch
